Book says Wilpon asked MLB to doom Einhorn’s Mets deal - NYPOST.com
All the more reason why Fred and Jeff Wilpon must go and Bud Selig must follow them out the door. This is collusion at its worst solely to protect the narrow interests of someone lacking the intelligence needed to own a baseball team by someone lacking the intelligence to run a major sports league.

"Use your helmets to dig your own graves!"
Fred Wilpon seems to be channeling his own inner Peter Griffin by digging his own grave to Jeffrey Toobin in The New Yorker yesterday and by digging further in Sports Illustrated today:
"Phillips said other owners would have dismissed him before Wilpon did, describing Wilpon as fiercely loyal."
This is starting to sound like the end of the George W. Bush presidency, where his loyalty to people got him screwed over pretty bad. Let's hope Wilpon's tenure as the owner ends soon too.

Ex-owner Wilpon? One can only hope...
CNBC with a brief but on-the-point piece on how just selling a minority stake in the New York Mets won't be enough to entice another billionaire or group of millionaires to bail out the Wilpon family from their Madoff mess.
